Amethyst Bay
Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator were the best technical tools for this project. This demonstrated my graphic design abilities. The ad's Amethyst Bay logo and pillow were matched in Photoshop. The woman's body was vectorized by Illustrator. I strategically applied design principles to demonstrate my expertise. The composition's lines guided the eye from the woman's figure to the corner hand. I also balanced the colors, using the tan background to highlight the logo and the pillow's purples. I used color theory to demonstrate color harmony.
Creating a unique design took a lot of brainstorming. The final ad showed Amethyst Bay's luxury and relaxation through various visuals. Throughout the project, I solicited and gave constructive criticism. Peer and instructor feedback improved the design. This iterative feedback process allowed me to continually improve the quality of my work and demonstrate the growth of my critique skills. The design's visual elements and messaging matched the project's goals. I met the project requirements by sticking to my original intent. Optimizations were made to the image's contrast and sharpness to make sure it looked its best. The pillow's colors were carefully matched to the logo's palette for a seamless look. The typeface was chosen because it was easy to read, and it was placed so that the whole composition was balanced. Finally, the design was converted into the correct file format for print and screen publication, demonstrating my technical design delivery skills.
